The fictional character, voiced by Bob Balaban in the animated film, has a reputation for causing trouble.
He has had at least two brushes with the law in recent years.
In 2016, a man named Mark B. was arrested on a charge of misdemeanor assault after he punched a police officer while he was arrested for a minor traffic offense.
He was later sentenced to three days in jail.
In 2015, a woman named Kaitlyn, who was working at Walmart at the time, was charged with criminal trespass after she and her boyfriend were spotted walking in a parking lot and got into a fight.
Kaityn was arrested and charged with misdemeanor assault, but her case was later dismissed.
In 2013, an Illinois man named Joseph D. was sentenced to four years in prison for assaulting a Walmart employee.
In 2012, an Oregon man named Brandon L. was convicted of a felony charge of criminal mischief after he allegedly smashed a car window with a rock and was sentenced in 2016 to four months in jail for damaging a home.
A man named John F. was also arrested and convicted in 2013 of assault for hitting an undercover police officer during a traffic stop.
